Blizzard Beach Slides & Stuff!
Whereas Typhoon Lagoon is known for its amazing wave pool and tropical beauty, this Disney water park was designed for the speed and slide enthusiast. The most thrilling and eye-catching is the 120-foot high 'Summit Plummet', the world's tallest and fastest free-fall slide, where the brave ones reach speeds of over 60 m.p.h.! Yikes!
And don't miss the exciting 'Teamboat Springs', the longest family slide in the world. It seems to go on and on and on! Speaking of ‘family,’ know that Blizzard Beach has entire areas devoted to pre-teens and toddlers. Be sure and explore my information in the “Water Fun for Little Ones” section!
Mt. Gushmore is the snow covered mountain you see from all points in the park! You have two ways to get to the top so you can experience Summit Plummet, Slush Gusher, & Teamboat Springs: the Chair Lift with its snazzy overhead umbrellas provides continuous one-way trips throughout the day. (Infants and 'lap riders' are not permitted!) Or you can take the 'foot path.' (That's Disney's 'user friendly' term. Mine is the 'lots and lots of stairs that seem to continue forever' path!) Keep the overhead Chair Lift on your left as you walk towards the mountain and you'll find them.

Water Slide Thrillers!
Disney’s Blizzard Beach was built for all the water speed enthusiasts out there, and these three slides totally fit the bill! Because of their design and thrill factor, all 'sliders' must be at least 48 inches tall and in good health.
Water Fun for Everyone!
We know that Blizzard Beach is for the 'speed enthusiasts,' but what about the rest of us? (Actually, I'm in the former group but I feel it's my responsibility to speak for everyone.) Hey, this is Disney! You know they've thought of everything ...
Water Fun for Little Ones!
Disney's water parks are designed for guests of all ages, just like everywhere else at Walt Disney World! More specifically, they provide lots of water fun for the 'younguns with special areas just for them! Let's have a look!
