The moment Disney began thinking about using the acres of land behind the World Showcase for a collection of new deluxe hotels, they realized how nice it would be to allow them their own private entrance into the park.
Located between the United Kingdom and France pavilions in the World Showcase, the International Gateway provides a convenient store for last minute souvenir purchases, lockers, limited wheelchair rentals, and helpful guest relations cast members!
Guests of the following hotels can either walk along the Crescent Lake promenade (behind the hotels), or take a ‘friendship launch’ boat from their nearest dock to this location:
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort
Disney BoardWalk Villas
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Disney’s Beach Club Villas
Walt Disney World Swan Resort
Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort
Can we park at one of these hotels and enter Epcot from here? Disney provides the International Gateway for guests of these Resorts. It’s a ‘perk’ of staying there. Also, the parking lots for each hotel on property, regardless of their locations, are exclusively for those guests. (However, don’t rule out the many dining opportunities available! For example, no one cares if you leave Epcot to explore Disney’s BoardWalk and have dinner in one of its very good restaurants!
Are you using my TourGuideMiKE Automated Vacation Planner™? If you’re staying in one of the above Disney Resorts, I have provided a link to more specific information about the International Gateway on your “My Hotel” page!
